Business & Human Rights Law Group (“BHRLG”) is an independent law group founded in December 2018 by Mr. Piseth Duch. BHRLG is registered with the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia, dedicating to pro bono work. We believe that we have a civic mission to promote and protect human rights, environmental rights, the rule of law with respect for democratic principles as well as to advance access to justice and support human rights and environmental rights defenders at risks.
The concept of a law group dedicated to pro bono services in Cambodia is ground-breaking. BHRLG envisions an intersection of realization of human rights between legal protection and law and policy reforms. While delivering pro bono legal aid, BHRLG undertakes research and analysis of laws and policies with a view to nurture public conversations and offering practical solutions on issues that matter Cambodia.
BHRLG management is responsible before the Advisory Board of the organization.
Founder and Lawyer
Piseth Duch is the founding lawyer of Business & Human Rights Law Group. Piseth is a qualified lawyer who is a member of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia and passionate about human and environmental rights and public interests. Piseth has worked in the area of human rights and business for local and international NGOs since 2012. Piseth is a post-graduate student with Master’s Degree in International Law and Politics with first class honours from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
